Who is Platform for?

Platform is for anyone who is sick of a typical 'gym'. We provide everything that you need to get results (training program, coaching and diet support) and on top of that we have the best atmosphere and community you could ever want to be a part of. All of which is why our results and reviews are so good.

Are you a gym?

We aren't a typical 'walk in and do what you want' gym. Everything we do here is coached and under supervision, so no, we aren't a typical gym.

Do you do personal training?

Yes, nothing that happens here is not coached. We do group training to a maximum of one coach to six people on our weightlifting sessions and larger group  sessions (with a maximum of 1 coach to 16 people) again all of which is coached.

Hows does the trial work?

You go to the 28 Day Foundation Program sign up page ( here) input your details and one of our coaches will give you a ring to discuss the program and whether or not it's right for you. W
e will discuss our facility and explain how we work and we how our powerful training systems and nutrition support will help you to your goals.

Should you be happy with all that we will set you up with our app and booking system and get your 28 day action program set up. At the end of the 28 days you have no obligation to continue with us but once you have experienced what we do we are sure you will want to stick around - at which point you can choose from any of our 3 memberships levels to get started.

Where are you based?

We are based in Dukinfield, Tameside, Greater Manchester.

Do you have parking?

Yes we have parking available to all our members to use in the car park at the side of our building and also on the roads around the mill.

What are your opening hours?

We are open early mornings 6am-10am every weekday, we are opening evenings every week night 5pm-10pm and we are open saturday 9am-3pm, Sunday 11am-2pm.

Do you do diet plans?

We have an in-house nutritionist who will sit down with you and work out with you exactly what you need to be doing alongisde your training to get the results you want. This is an ongoing process that will continue both in-person and online to ensure we keep getting you results.

Do you do cardio?

We run our intense PHIIT Sessions - a mixture of circuit trining, HIIT sessions, Boxing sessions and Core workouts. We run 13 sessions per week on a mixture of mornings, evenings and weekends.

What services do you offer?

We offer bespoke weightlifting sessions that are coached in small groups to a maximum of one coach to 6 people. We offer larger group cardio training in our PHIIT Sessions and we offer nutrition support to all our members ranging from online support in the form of live videos and educational posts in our member only facebook group through to weekly check ins and monthly sit downs with our coaches.

Does everyone do the same program?

No - all our weightlifting programs are bespoke to you, your goals and where you are at in terms of experience, strength and fitness. Even during our PHIIT Sessions we always give options for each exercise depending on how strong/fit you are and then we will even adjust things further if you have any injuries etc.

How do the sessions work?

Whether it is a weightlifting sesison or a PHIIT session you book yourself in on our app and then we will see that you are attending. 

For the weightlifting sessions your session will be put up on the whiteboard and we will have coaches in the room ready to guide you through. If you are completely new to us one of our coaches will stick with you the whole way through to make sure you perform everything correctly and so we can match your session to your level whether you are new to weightlifting or more advanced.

As you get more used to the session our coaches will supervise you as you train and step in where required. We will sit down with you at the end of each training block to plan our next lot of training and make sure we are all heading in the right direction.

For our PHIIT Sessions we have the sessions wrote up on the board. We warm everyone up together and then run through what we will be doing in that session - we make sure everyone knows what they are on with and make sure everyone is set with each exercise and away we go.

Can I do my own program?

No everything we do is ran through our own training systems and supervised by our coaches.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

Absolutely not - that is what we are here for. We will meet you where you are at, some come to us who havent been in the gym for 20 years, others have been smashing it regularly but need something more. It doesnt matter where you find yourself, we will create a program that meets your current fitness and strength level and will develop you from there.

How much is it?

Our prices range from £7.50 per session to £131 per month depending on what type of training you want to do, how much training you want to do and whether you want to do a rolling membership or a 6 month minimum term. Our most popular membership is Platform Weightlifting which is £79 per month on a 6 month minimum term. 

Is it always really busy?

No - we have an app with a booking system to make sure that everyone gets the attention they need and so the gym isnt always over crowded. Our weightlfiting sessions never have more than 1 coach to 6 people and our PHIIT sessions have a maximum limit of 16 people.
